untitled

She has secretly fallen,
Yet no one to catch her,
Tucked away in shadows,
She knows no lover.

He sees her everyday,
A smile, a glance,
Oblivious they stay,
To Cupid’s guidance.

She longs to be with him,
To touch him,
Hold his hands in hers,
Alas, that image remains dim.

He walks past her,
Noticing strain across her brow,
The ache displayed across her face,
And the sorrow that a longing for love allows.

She sees him there,
Her heart breaking as the distance grows evermore,
Her insides crumbling,
Penetrated by love’s scornful thorn.

If only he could tell her,
Bare his soul to her,
Pour his heart out so she would know,
That she is his every thought, an Angel of prayer.

If only she could tell him,
Give him her heart in words,
Than he would know,
That he is her song like that of the beautiful songbirds.

Forever they wait,
Apart and never as one,
Awaiting their moment,
That happens to very few, if only some.

Love may be blind,
Love may be scared,
But why not take a chance on love,
For love is meant to be fared.

love will find what it is looking for,
tears will stop and smiles will gleam.
for your truest is close,
and your life will become greater than your wildest dreams.
bite your tongue,
for you have seen not,
what is around the corner,
what your heart has forever sought.

wings

i wish i had wings,
free wings.
wings that could take me anywhere,
everywhere.
take me above the clouds,
past the stars, to Saturn's rings,

the perfect escape.
a beautiful dream.

give me wings,
and i will fly away,
not forever, no.
i will be back,
i only need some time to spread my wings,
explore the world around me.
just enough time,
to leave my troubles behind,
clear my head and
start again.

oh, how i wish i had wings.

the girl with no face

what happened to her?
the girl with the no face.
was she too beautiful, too ugly?
or just not enough for grace.

the story goes for the girl with no face,
she cried and cried, and never ceased.
no one knew why, nor stopped to ask,
but they all hoped the stars would bring her peace.

all through the day and all the through the night,
the girl with no face, wept her relentless weep.
her sobs were heard no matter where or when,
awful they were of someone wounded too deep.

morning, noon, and night the girl was cursed with sadness,
so much so, her face began to fade.
the more she cried, the more she wiped away,
there was soon to be nothing left where a beautiful face once laid.

if only they knew what depressed her so,
maybe they could of helped before it was too late.
showed her mercy and peace that she is yet to feel,
or helped her to find light before her dark, dreary fate.

there is nothing for them to do for her now,
except to hope that someday she will find grace.
awaiting the day her tears will end,
no longer being the girl with no face.
